Cooking Measurement Converter
Convert cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, fluid ounces, milliliters, grams, ounces, and pounds, with ingredient density for volume to weight.
How to use this cooking measurement converter
US recipe cups are volume. Grams are weight. Flour is the usual trap: a scooped cup can weigh 140 g while a spooned cup is closer to 120 g. This converter uses typical packed-or-spooned densities so you can move between a US recipe and a metric scale.
Volume-to-volume (cups to ml, tbsp to tsp) does not need an ingredient. Pick water density if you only have a liquid. UK imperial cups differ slightly; this tool uses US cups (236.588 ml).
Formula
Worked example
1 cup all-purpose flour ≈ 120 g ≈ 4.23 oz. 1 cup water ≈ 237 g ≈ 236.6 ml.
