Mileage Reimbursement Calculator
Calculate mileage reimbursement from miles driven. Defaults to the IRS H2 2026 business rate of 76 cents per mile.
How to use this mileage reimbursement calculator
U.S. employees and self-employed people often use the IRS standard mileage rate instead of tracking every gallon. For July–December 2026 the business rate is 76 cents per mile; January–June 2026 was 72.5 cents. Charity driving stays 14 cents; medical and qualified moving use 23.5 cents in the second half of 2026.
This is reimbursement math, not tax advice. Employers may pay a different policy rate. If you use actual expenses (gas, depreciation) you generally cannot also take the standard rate on the same miles. Keep a log: date, miles, business purpose.
Formula
Worked example
120 business miles at 76¢ is $91.20.
