Lunch Break Calculator
Clock in, clock out, lunch start, and lunch return. Choose paid vs unpaid lunch to see paid hours, lunch length, and unpaid time.
How to use this lunch break calculator
This lunch break calculator uses a lunch punch pair, not a “break minutes” box. That matches time clocks that require in/out for meal periods. If lunch is paid, paid hours equal the full shift span. For a weekly card with a single break-minutes column, use the Time Card Calculator.
Formula
Worked example
08:00–16:30 is 8.5 hours. Unpaid 12:00–12:30 lunch leaves 8.0 paid hours.
